This awards season I have seen a lot of stars wearing hi-low hems in their dresses, and from what I have been reading the reviews for these dresses has not been favorable. I on the other hand, think they are so interesting and unique. I love the different hem, and I think it adds a flowy element that is not present in many skirts. Also it is a way to show off your legs while not exposing too much. Both of these skirts can be found here.

Leopard Love
One of my favorite prints of the year was leopard. It turned into a neutral this year and was a great base for mixing prints. It made a statement but was easy to wear and went with almost everything. Below are three great leopard print options. The skirt is perfect for layering. The bandeau top is daring but would be really fun to wear for a night out with a high waisted black skirt and a colorful belt. Finally the shoes. These are the shoes I have been eyeing for a long time. They would spice up any outfit and I think come the new year I will just have to get them.

Accordion To Me
My sister has been on the hunt for an accordion, or pleated skirt, forever. Finally she got a BCBG one for Christmas. While I was wrapping it I started to really fall in love with the look. Although it can look dated if you put a little effort into styling the skirt with modern accessories this vintage looking skirt can work wonderfully in the 21st century. Belting the skirt is one way to make it unique. I would add a gold or leopard belt over a black accordion skirt as well as tights and ankle boots, if you are wearing the look for winer. For summer, which I know feels a long way off, a lighter color skirt like the one pictured would really make you stand out.
